First, here's a little background on me. I own a CrossFit affiliate and I teach 95% of all of our classes. Before buying this pair, I went through 2 pairs of inov-8's over some 2000 classes taught. They simply hold up better than any other shoe I have worn at our gym and the fit is great. That being said, I am underwhelmed with my new Bare-XF. My main issue is the center velcro strap almost never stays put. Although the idea is nice and you can certainly wrap this shoe around your foot, it doesn't stay that way through even the lightest of workouts or training sessions. Also, it would be great to have a little more support at the top of the toe box to help with movements like double unders and burpees. While the high percentage of rubber/plastic is nice for rope climbing, I just have a hard time being positive about a shoe that cannot meet the most basic need: to stay put.
