This boot is well put together and extremely comfortable. I have a more narrow foot so I am glad I purchased the medium width instead of the standard width. These boots are waterproof and steel toe, so a thicker padded sock is recommended. The construction of the boot is of high quality material and the waterproofing performs well. (I wore these boots during Monsoon Season in Eastern Arizona and my feet were dry and comfortable all day long.) The reason for only 4 of 5 stars is that the left boot squeaks when my heel hits the ground. I have identified the noise and it is the results of the waterproof/inner-lining rubbing on the leather outer shell of the boot. Other than that, the boot is sturdy and will last a long time.

I bought these in nude. They fit true to size. I agree with other reviewers about the toe box being a little snug. It would probably help to have them stretched out if your foot is wider than average. Otherwise, they're a very classic, versatile shoe. The nude color goes with everything in one's closet. They're mostly comfortable (except possibly for the toe box) - but be warned, these have a pretty high heel. Still classy enough for a business professional office.

I'm currently in Greenland. After spending time in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Kenya, Turkey and countless other countries, if anyone should be qualified to rate footwear, it should be me.

I've had one foot broken - fifth metatarsal, and I still deal with the pain when I'm wearing shoes and gear that places pressure on that area. I've also had problems with both feet because of the shoes I happen to be wearing on various rough surfaces throughout the world. And being a diabetic means that I have to take very good care of my feet.

After received these boots, I wondered if they were really in the box because the box was so light. But once I opened the package, the sweet smell of leather filled the room. Not the smell of rubber or silicone, but leather. The shoes are light and the leather is very nice. Once I put them on, I thought they were a little tight; perhaps too tight to wear thicker socks. But once I stood up, the shoes seem to give a little and conform to each foot perfectly.

The fit was true to size. No pain or discomfort at all. Since they were light, it meant I would not be plagued by leg fatigue.

The real test was to take them out into the elements. Its -4 outside with a frozen ice cap under my feet. After wandering out in the elements, my feet stayed dry and warm. Even the 12-mile ride up the hill to a much colder area on an unheated bus had no effect - my feet were dry and warm.

After walking around the area all day, and trudging outside to perform a few task, I was amazed at how these boots felt as if I was wearing light comfortable house shoes instead of boots made to withstand what nature had in store and still keep their good looks and fit.

I gave these boots five (5) stars. I've been through everything from Keen, Asolo, Columbia, Vasque, Nevados and the list continues. But I'm blown away that a boot built by a company that is known for sandals, can be so perfect in Greenland. For the price, you cannot go wrong with these boots.
