This is an excellent lightweight, well-fitting shoe that is designed for getting your feet wet. I got them for ocean kayaking, and generally going in and out of the water. The water channels work. Step out of the water, and you feel the water draining out of the shoes in a second or two. They go from weighing a ton soaking wet (like any shoe), to being super light again. Very neat. I'm hard-pressed to say they weigh any more wet, than dry.
I'm also impressed with the fit. Most shoes at this price, don't have a lot of support going on. These work really well, at least on my feet, and they're a joy even for longer walks.
