My work is Fire and Rescue. 24 hour shifts on my feet for most of it. Almost 10 yr on the job, I've worn a variety of "tactical" boots ranging from 511 brand, Rockys, Magnums to Tactical Research. All were adequate but all had a similar problem. Seemed like durability sacrificed comfort and vice versa. So I bought a pair of these Blackhawk Composite Toe boots a couple of years ago and have not looked back. My history with Blackhawk gear has always been positive. Their clothing line is exceptional so I figured I'd cough up the cash and try the boots. To be brief; These boots are comfortable, durable, excellent grip, excellent long wearability and almost no wear and tear / breakdown in the two plus years I've had them. I've had them on my feet for 36 hours straight at times, something I could never do with the other brands. I've humped heavy packs through steep and rutty terrain on SAR assignments without a hitch. They are as good on the hardtop as they are in the weeds. I highly recommend these boots to anyone involved in public safety or military style occupations where comfortable, protective and supportive footwear is a must.
