I ordered these boots because I do quite a bit of walking on large loose gravel, balast. I wanted a sturdy boot that would be cooler in the warmer weather compared to my leather workboots. I've also had problems in the past with plantar faciatis. Its been a month and so far I am very happy with these boots. They were comfortable out of the box and although they're very light they are sturdy and I have not had any problems with my plantar faciatis. I've also worn them in the rain twice and my feet have stayed dry. I would have given them 5 stars but they're so light I'm not sure how they will hold up after time.
