I bought two pairs of this boot when it was a Lightning deal, in smoke grey and camel derby. The smoke grey really looks more like a dark dark brown, but the camel derby is a very nice color. The zipper on the outside is just for show, but the inner zipper is the one that works. I have pretty wide calves and these fit nicely, and with some room to spare, probably due to the elastic band on the back of the boot. Although I usually wear a 6.5 the 7 was ok without socks and probably would have been just right with socks; I would recommend ordering a size up.

The style of the boot is nice, and although I'm short (just under 5'5") I didn't think the shaft height was overwhelming. However, they did bunch at the ankle, which I didn't like, and it was a bit of a struggle to get my foot in the boot. I also wasn't crazy about the quality of the leather; I own a pair of Franco Sarto boots and the leather on that pair is soft whereas this one is a bit stiff and too shiny for my liking.
