I love ASICS - I run in ASICS; but I wanted to throw these away after wearing them 2 times. At first I thought I just needed to break them in a bit, so even though I was in pain I wore them a couple more times -the pain was so unbearable I had to stop during a match. I play tennis 3-4 times a week, and I knew that it was not a "breaking-in" issue at this point. There is a seam on the inside of the shoe that lines up perfectly with the widest point of my foot (the bone right under my little toe). After playing for about 20 minutes I would be in so much pain from this seam rubbing that area I would be limping. I know several people who have this shoe and love it, so I think it may just be the shape of the shoe does not match the shape of my foot. It is however a lightweight, sturdy shoe that provides fast reaction time on the court. The mesh panels also take some of the heat away from your foot, allowing them to breathe a bit.

My advice to anyone wanting to try this shoe would just be - try the shoe on and walk around in it for an hour or so - doing side to side stop-and-go motions so you can get an idea of how they would feel on the court. I think they are probably a good shoe - just not for me.
