Cushe Women's Tan Suede Allpine Fern 41 B(M) EU Review

The boot is fantastic, except for the sizing. It's feminine, cute, uber comfortable (if you get the right size), and NINJA QUIET! As for the sizing, I ordered the smalles size (EU36/USA5) since I wear a 5.5 and everyone says "order down." I tried them on with thick comfy socks and there was still OVER AN INCH of toeroom. If I could get a size USA4, I would, but Cushe doesn't make that. Great boot, bad sizing.

UPDATE: After trying on many different winter waterproof boots (Sorel's Cate the Great, Timberland's Mt. Holly, Lafuma's Kakota, Merrill's Winterbelle and a few others), I decided to keep this EVEN THOUGH it's way too big. It came down to the Winterbelle and this one, and I compared them in my three most important categories: waterproofing, warmth and comfort.

WATERPROOFING: I found that the Winterbelles leaked water in through the tongue and zipper, while these just leaked water in through the zipper. As long as you're not wearing them for fishing or surfing or some other water-soaked sport, both will keep your feet dry.

WARMTH: I put one Cushe on my right foot and one Merrill on my left foot and stood outside in the 40-degree night to get a feel. The Cushe's felt thin. Neither foot got cold, but Merrill's felt a little warmer. Since I decided to keep the Cushe's, I wore them to Punkin' Chunkin' and my feet stayed warm the whole time.

COMFORT: The CLEAR winner in comfort are the Cushe's. The Merrills feel like hiking boots, which would be great if I were using them for winter hiking. The foot was very flat and "solid". The Cushe's, on the other hand, are extremely comfortable. I stood in them for 12+ hours a day for 3 days straight and had no foot pain when I went to bed! Also, the OTHER boots (Sorel's, Lafuma's, etc. all failed the comfort test, so I didn't even bother reviewing them).
