These boots are very comfortable and warm. They are lighter than I expected. However, I am used to wearing Icebug Metro BUGrip boots in the winter, which have metal studs on the sole. We had some freezing rain a few days ago. I stepped outside in my Sorix boots and slid right off my back step. I went back in and put on my old BUGrips, and I was able to walk on the ice with no problem.

These boots are great for snow, but if you live in an icy climate, stick with the BUGrips.
