after ordering and returning many different boots this is finally the perfect fit! i wanted a boot that zipped for easy access and yet still held my foot well enough to navigate a steep driveway in the ice and snow. this fits the bill. i also tried the centerline privo by clarks but the molded rubber footbed was too narrow, the boot was difficult to slip into at the ankle and the zipper was stiff and fussy. not so with these boots. the molded rubber footbed fits my size 8 medium width foot perfectly and feels true to size. i normally replace all my insoles with nice orthotic ones but the insoles on these boots have good arch support. these are super easy to slip in and out of plus there is a gusset behind the zipper so the snow won't leak through into the boot. the leather is high quality and these are beautifully made. they actually look and feel higher quality than the privo boot. these have a better tread as well and although i was originally looking at hiking boots with chunky vibram soles these do have some grip and are nimble enough that i can wear them around town without feeling clumsy. thanks to amazon for free shipping and super fast delivery!!!
