I bought this item off season to get a good price therefore I don't have a lot of field testing on them yet (hiking in 80 degrees with 200g of thinsulate would be bad). As for now I can say that with a medium cushion smartwool sock it fits (my normal show size) with not a lot of room to spare. So if you want to wiggle your toes a lot I would recommend a half size up. As for construction they feel like they are built to last but again this is from walking around my house. While walking around though I would feel my feet warming up therefore the thinsulate is doing its job and I can wait to use them in the winter for a hike or just for wearing to watch a late season football game. If i can remember I will try to give more information after them have some miles on them
