So over all, I like these boots. They're reasonably comfortable, though with a thick gel insert, they proved to be a bit tight. (And I bought a half-size larger than my usual size)

The style is clean and simple, so it ought to work well at different levels of dressiness.

However, the back seam split on the right boot after only 1 day of wear.

I'm not sure if this was a defect in manufacture or if the stitching was somehow cut in handling. (Perhaps this pair was previously returned by somebody else?)

Regardless, I liked them well enough to take a chance on a straight exchange rather than a refund. Hopefully the new pair will be problem-free.

I do indeed like these boots. Definitely worth the money, and no workmanship defects on the replacement pair.
Overall, good footwear. Leaving the review at 3 stars due to mfg defect on the first pair.
