I found what other reviewers said, the top front of the shoe to be kind of hard. The sheep fluff lining in the boot is not plush, kind of wispy. Certainly warm but not a slipper like inside (not necessarily bad). Other emu shoes that I own DO have the plush slipper-like sheep fluff inside and soft upper, just not this model/style. A bit stiffer leather too. That being said, the quality is good. Have not worn enough to talk about how it breaks in.
