Pros:
- very warm boot (kept my feet warm after 8hr hike in temperatures in the '20s)
- inside was only slightly moist after 8hr hike in snow drifts. Did not feel moisture with feet, only once I stuck my hand into the boot was it noticeable
- runs true to size when worm with fleece or thick wool hiking socks
- allows frozen toes to thaw without use of toe warmers. I get cold extremely easily, and in other boots once my toes got cold, they'd only become more frozen as the day progressed. Not so in these boots - feet warmed up after I resumed hiking.

Cons:
- painful to break in. I'm not used to wearing tall boots, and the first time I wore these, I got a black and blue on my ankle. However, the second time I put them on, they did not hurt
- arch support is a little low, but with an insole might be ok
