I'm still putting these shoes through their initial paces, but that's because I've got two other pairs of Pearl Izumis (SyncroFloat IVs and Kissakis) that I rotate on runs. I absolutely love the Pearl Izumi brand: I'm in my sixth year of some pretty decent outdoor running mileage, and have never switched brands. Pearl Izumis take me through 90-140 road miles a month, year in and year out, without injuries. At age 47, that's saying something! I've tried 5-6 different models, and have had some I like more (keep going back to the SyncroFloats), but every shoe I've had has WORKED for 400 road miles or more, which is what a good shoe should do. I run on Las Vegas sidewalks and roads, which test not only any runner, but any shoe that's hitting that surface in 100+ degree summer temperatures.

The EM Road N 2 is built a bit differently that other models I've worn, perhaps more of a subtle back to front rocker motion, but so far so good. It's snug through the ankle/heel,which is good if your foot is on the narrow side, like mine. But it's also roomy enough up front to wiggle the toes and very, very light (more so than other models I've had) with some really nice design features. Colors are fun! Again, I can't say enough about this brand as a whole and I'm excited to put the EM Road N 2 to work. Pearl Izumis have earned my loyalty.
