It seems like Salomon is the only shoe that actually works for me! Over the past year since I wore out my last pair of Salomon trail runners, I've foolishly bought 5 different pair of running shoes and all of them had their issues. I tried Nike, Asics, and Brooks but the only shoe that doesn't give me any pain or discomfort are these bad boys. I'm currently overseas and am running on semi-hard pack sand and rocks and some asphalt. The only thing to look out for is the rubber part of the arch on the inside. After my second run the friction from the rubber and my foot was starting to give me some nasty little blisters on the bottom, inside of my arches. I ended up swapping out the insoles for some Dr. Scholl's sports and then logged 15 miles in two runs. I ended up putting the insoles of the runners in my combat boots and love them all day long. Overall, these shoes are great!
